Hauskaa vappua kaikille! Toivottavasti teillä on juhlien jäljiltä iloinen mieli ja vatsat on täynnä simaa, skumppaa ja munkkeja. Tässä tulisi toista Miami-asua, joka saatiin kuvattua kätevästi meidän hotellin kauniissa aulassa. Miamissa yövyttiin ihanassa hotellissa nimeltä the Miami Beach Edition. Majoitusta etsiessä meinasi ensin iskeä epätoivo, kun lähes kaikki hienotkin hotellit tuntuivat olevan sisustukseltaan tosi pimeitä ja tunkkaisia ja muistuttivat tyyliltään lähinnä Ruotsin laivoja.
Happy 1st of May everyone! I hope you’re feeling good after the celebrations and have your stomachs full of sparkling wine, mead and doughnuts (at least that’s what us Finns enjoy on this day). Here’s another outfit of mine, we actually shot this look in the lobby area of our hotel in Miami. In Miami, we stayed at a beautiful hotel named the Miami Beach Edition. Looking for the accomodation, I first felt quite desperate as many of the hotels, even the fancier ones, were really dark and old-fashioned when it came to their decor.

Kun sitten surffailusession päätteeksi löysin Miami Beachilla sijaitsevan Edition-hotellin, oli valinta aika selvä. Rakastuin aulaan, jossa valkoinen ja kulta oli yhdistetty marmoriin sekä ihan hurjaan määrään viherkasveja. Hotellissa on kaksi raflaa, joihin menut on tehnyt erityisesti Jenkeissä arvostettu huippukokki Jean-Georges Vongerichten.
After finding out about the Edition hotel situated on Miami Beach, our choice became pretty clear. I fell for the gorgeous lobby where white and gold met marble and a ridiculous amount of green plants. There are two restaurants in the hotel, and in both of them the menu is designed by the top chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten.
Ainoa pieni miinus oli, että palvelu näissä ravintoloissa (Market by the Edition ja Matador Room) oli välillä aika sähläystä. Tilaukset menivät vähän sinnepäin, ja M:lle olutta kaataessa bisse kuohui pöydälle. Tarjoilijoiden kömpelyyttä kompensoi onneksi se, että ruoka oli ainakin Matador Roomissa superhyvää. Kaiken kaikkiaan yöpyisin hotellissa kyllä oikein mielelläni uudestaan!
The only downside was that the service in these restaurants (Market by the Edition and Matador Room) was pretty clumsy at times. Some of our orders got mixed up, and when then waiter poured beer for M, there were foam pretty much all over the table. The awkwardness of the staff was compensated by the quality of the food, especially in the Matador Room (it was heavenly!). All in all, I wouldn’t hesitate in staying at the hotel again some time in the future!
