POSTCARDS FROM KO LANTA – PART 1

Postcards from Ko Lanta 1 - Pic 4, 5.0

Waiting for our food while sipping some cold drinks to cool off

Here’s the first set of random snapshots taken during our trip. Our flight arrived in Phuket airport where we continued the trip by a car-ride we had booked beforehand. After crossing the sea with a, let’s say, vintage ferryboat we arrived safely at our destination, Ko Lanta island.

Tässä ensimmäinen kokoelma satunnaisia fiiliskuvia matkalta. Lentomme saapui Phuketin lentokentälle, josta matka taittui etukäteen varaamallamme kyydillä ja epäilyttävän vanhalla autolautalla päämääräämme Ko Lantan saarelle.

Ate this tasty meal twice during our trip

On Ko Lanta, we stayed the first five nights at a hotel called Costa Lanta, which definitely had the best price-quality ratio of the three hotels we visited. The bungalows were a great design experience, the beach superquiet and the food was mainly organic, following the owner’s philosophy. Costa Lanta is a hotel I can warmly recommend if, searching for an accomodation, one hopes something different, modern and unique.

Ko Lantalla yövyimme ensimmäiset viisi yötä Costa Lanta nimisessä hotellissa, joka oli hinta-laatusuhteeltaan kerrassaan loistava. Bungalow-tyyyliset huoneet olivat upea design-elämys, ranta erittäin rauhallinen ja omistajan filosofiaan sopien ruoka paljolti luomua. Costa Lantaa voin suositella lämpimästi, mikäli toivoo jotakin erilaista ja modernia, ketjuhotelleista poikkeavaa fiilistä.

Another pink sunset on the Kantiang beach

When it comes to all the destinations we’ve visited in Thailand, Ko Lanta climbed to the top of our list. Island is one of the few that hasn’t yet sold its soul to tourism. I was glad to notice there’s no vendors on the beach, and neither did we meet tuk tuk –drivers selling their services aggressively. From Costa Lanta, we continued our vacation by moving to the ultimate luxury hotel of Pimalai, which I’ll tell you more about later!

WANDERLUST
Even though fall was, at one stage of my life at least, my favorite season, longing for a sunny holiday in the autumn time usually is what ends up happening. Despite the fact that I enjoy my work and all the related everyday routines very much, a short vacation under the sun would be more than welcome. Here I've collected some of my favorite travel-r ...

BLACK AND WHITE LOVIN’ AT LEDLOW
Before publishing the outfit photos we took at Byron Bay's lighthouse, let's do a short trip back in time back to our vacation in Los Angeles. If you appreciate the interiors of a restaura ...

BEAUTIFUL BOSCOLO
Well hello! I wanted to share some of these lovely pictures with you. The photos were snapped while we were waiting for our ride in the lobby of our hotel in Nice. Some of you, my dear readers, have asked me about the the specific itinerary of our roadtrip, and that's one thing I'm going to share with you in this post. Our trip started at the biggest city on the French Riviera. After spending three days exploring Nice, we rented a car to drive to Cannes and also stopped by the village of Antibes on our way the city of the famous film festival. While holding our base in Cannes, we paid a day visit to the lovely Saint-Tropez. From Saint-Tropez ...
