Kukat on mun mielestä ihan parhaita juttuja kuvata iPhonella. Mun kännykän kuvakirjasto on poikkeuksetta täynnä erilaisia kasveja leikkokukista kaktuksiin, enkä malta olla jakamatta niistä yhtä tai kahta teidän kanssa. Saadaan edes vähän väriä tänne harmaan talven keskelle!
Flowers are one of the things I’m constantly taking photos of, usually with my iPhone in hand. The camera roll of my cell is pretty much full of different plants from cut flowers to cacti, and I can’t help but share one or two of them with you. It’s nice to have some colour in the midst of this grey winter!

Tästä sinisestä hetkestä on jo vähän aikaa. Päädyin kuitenkin valkkaamaan kuvan postaukseen, koska oon myös viime päivinä kävellyt paljon ulkona ja nimenomaan tässä lähellä rannassa. Mikäs sen parempaa kuin hengitellä raikasta ilmaa ja tuijotella kaukaisuudessa siintävää horisonttia..
It has already been a while since this beautiful blue sunset. In spite of that, I decided to include the above picture in this post as I’ve gone for many walks outside and to that same shore, to be exact. I guess there’s nothing better than inhaling some fresh air while gazing at the distant horizon..

Yksi päivä olin ihan parhaassa seurassa aamiaisella Vanhan Kauppahallin Ravintola Storyssa. Jos aamupala- tai brunssilistalta löytyy avokadoleipä tai pannukakkuja, on mun valinta nopeasti tehty. Pannukakkujen kanssa tykkään yleensä syödä marjoja, muttei nämä omenapannarit olleet hassummat nekään.
One day I had breakfast in Restaurant Story of the Old Market Hall with the best company. If a brunch or breakfast menu includes avocado toast or pancakes, my order is quickly decided. I usually love red berries with my pancakes but the apple ones I had at Story were delicious, too.

Ootteko jo käyneet uudistetussa Ekbergissä? Tykkäsin itse hurjan paljon konditorian valoisasta ja aikaisempaa raikkaammasta ilmeestä, vaikka lehdistä oli etukäteen tullut luettua vähän poikkipuolisia kommentteja. Muutokset oli onnistuttu tekemään vanhaa kunnioittaen, ja siitä antaisin isot peukut tälle legendaariselle konditorialle.
Have you already visited the renewed Ekberg? I really liked the bright and fresh look of the confectionery even though I had seen some negative comments in the newspapers beforehand. I think the changes had been made with respect for the old, so yeah – both thumbs up for this legendary pastry shop!

Tässä kuva mun melkein syödystä kakusta! Me tosiaan käytiin Ekbergillä pikaisilla kahveilla, ja täytyy sanoa, että ainakin tämä pistaasi-passionhedelmäkakku vei kielen mennessään. Kertakäyttöastiat on take away -käytössä välttämätön paha, mutta muuten en oikein ymmärrä niiden valintaa tavallisten astioiden sijaan. Siitä pientä miinusta.
Here’s a picture of my almost eaten cake! We stopped by Ekberg’s for quick coffee, and I must say this pistachio and passionfruit cake was one of the best I’ve had. Naturally, I understand the use of disposable plates and cutlery in take away use, but other than that I’m not a great fan of those. That’s actually the only thing I wasn’t happy with!
