En muista, monesko San Francisco -päivämme tämä oli, mutta aamu ainakin noudatteli melko tuttua kaavaa. Lähikahvilasta minulle vihreä tee ja M:lle kahvi mukaan, ja siten menoksi, milloin mitäkin kaupungin näyttävistä asuinalueista tai nähtävyyksitä ihastelemaan. Asuinalueista puheenollen löysin suosikkini San Franciscossa alta aikayksikön. Ei epäilystäkään, etteikö kaupungin pohjoisrannalla sijaitseva Marina olisi ykkösvalintani, jos San Franciscoon joskus päätyisin muuttamaan – voi sitä kukkien ja pastellisten, vanhojen kivitalojen määrää! Sivusimme aluetta ensimmäisen kerran pyörämatkallamme Golden Gaten sillan yli Sausalitoon, ja jo tällöin Marinan alue vei sydämeni. Hotellia alueelta en kuitenkaan ottaisi, onhan Marinasta aika matka Missionin alueelle, jossa suurin osa kaupungin viehättävimmistä kahviloista ja ravintoloista sijaitsee. Nämä asukuvat otettiin aika kiireessä, toivottavasti hoppu ei näy lopputuloksessa liikaa. Haleja Suomeen!
I can’t quite remember which of our San Francisco days this was, but our schedule was pretty much the same each morning. One cup of green tea for me and a kingsize cup of coffee for M from a nearby coffee shop, and then off we go admiring yet another picturesque San Francisco district or one of those many ledendary attractions. Speaking of districs, it didn’t take long until I had found my favorite area in San Francisco. There’s no doubt that Marina, which is situated on the Northern beach of the city, wouldn’t be my number one choice if I sometime in the future ended up moving to SF. I simply couldn’t help but admire the vast amount of flowers and pastel houses in the luxurious neighbourhood! I saw Marina for the first time as we were about to cycle across the Golden Gate bridge, and I must say I was instantly smitten. I wouldn’t probably pick a hotel in Marina, though, as it’s quite a journey from Marina to Mission district where most of the cool restaurants and cafes are situated. We took these outfit photos in a bit of a hurry, I hope the hurry didn’t affect the result of the shoot too much. Sending hugs!
