5 FACTS ABOUT ME
Hey peeps! Today, as I found myself missing summer, I decided to write a "throwback thursday" kind of post for you, even though it's Sunday already. The pictures in this post were taken in June as we were celebrating my graduation by taking a trip to the French Riviera. Also, I really like posts where bloggers tell a few, somewhat awkward things about themselves. And by doing this myself, I decided to add a little twist in this post you're reading right now. Heippa! Tänään tuli ikävä kesää ja ajattelin toteuttaa tällaisen "throwback"-tyyppisen postauksen muistelemalla meidän kesäkuista matkaamme Ranskan rivieralle. Ja koska olen aina nauttin ...

WEEKEND SNAPS
Hey peeps! Here's a few snapshots I would like to share with you, I've taken these photos during the last few weekends that have gone by. This week, I've been feeling a little under the weather which can quite well be noticed in the recent lack of posts here on Arctic Vanilla. Rather sooner than later, as I will bounce back from the flu, the blog will be updated as usual. Really looking forward to that! The last two weekends I have spent celebrating in different wedding-related events. Last weekend, my charming friend and his fiancé got married which we celebrated with a three-course dinner in a lovely, Michelin-star restaurant here in Helsin ...

RAINY DAY PICK ME UP
"One of the most tragic things I know about human nature is that all of us tend to put off living. We are all dreaming of some magical rose garden over the horizon instead of enjoying the roses that are blooming outside our windows today." Dale Carnegie

SWEET TOOTH
When travelling France, feasting on some macarons seems obligatory. Even I was hesistant about missing this opportunity (when have I ever said no to a little sugary treat) and, in the end, I found myself dragging some of these cute L'adurée boxes home. Ranskaan matkaavalla macaroneilla herkuttelu on yksi must-jutuista, josta en itsekään Etelä-Ranskan kiertueellamme halunnut jäädä paitsi. Pieni määrä pikkuhyviä tuli roudattua Nizzan lentokentältä Suomeen asti, ja osa herkkutuliaisista päätyikin eräälle ystävälleni lahjaksi (toivottavasti macaronit maistuivat, Sonja!).  Some of the macarons I brought back from Nice ended up as a gift to a s ...

EARTH LAUGHS IN FLOWERS
"Earth laughs in flowers" is a quote by an american poet called Ralph Waldo Emerson (I'm impressed if you've heard about this guy before). Looking at these pictures, I understand exactly what he meant and couldn't agree more. I'm not sure if you still remember my "Lavender fields forever" post I wrote you a couple of weeks ago, or not. Either way, these pictures were snapped the same day when we were drinving from the town of Valensole back to the blue coast, Côte d'azur that is. I think I'll remember these gorgeous sceneries for the rest of my life. It's still baking hot here in Finland, but we luckily managed to get our hands on a fan. And ...

BEAUTIFUL BOSCOLO
Well hello! I wanted to share some of these lovely pictures with you. The photos were snapped while we were waiting for our ride in the lobby of our hotel in Nice. Some of you, my dear readers, have asked me about the the specific itinerary of our roadtrip, and that's one thing I'm going to share with you in this post. Our trip started at the biggest city on the French Riviera. After spending three days exploring Nice, we rented a car to drive to Cannes and also stopped by the village of Antibes on our way the city of the famous film festival. While holding our base in Cannes, we paid a day visit to the lovely Saint-Tropez. From Saint-Tropez ...

MONACO OUTFIT
Hey, hope you have had a happy Monday so far! Here's another outfit post for you These outfit pictures were snapped on the hill called Le Rocher in the vintage quarter of Monaco-Ville, which was the prettiest part of Monaco, in my opinion. Shades - Ray-Ban Watch - Michael Kors Dress, bag & shoes - Zara Necklace - Jennifer Zeuner Looking at these pictures, I realize I really miss these carefree, sweltering days consisting mainly of ...

BERLIN PHOTO DIARY – PART II
Blooming Berlin is stuck in my head, can't say that I'm happy to be in gloomy Finland again. Here's the second part of my photo diary. Captured in these pictures, you can find the best-known artwork of the Berlin wall. The painting with the presidents kissing is actually called "My God, help me to survive this deadly love". I loved Berlin, mostly because of its versatility.
