Tässä postauksessa mainitsinkin, miten sormuskaupoilla ollessa Atelier Torbjörn Tillander teki muhun vaikutuksen – paitsi sormusvalikoimallaan, niin erityisesti sisustuksellaan. Korukauppa oli laitettu tosi kivasti, ja mun oli ihan pakko tiedustella myös sisustussuunnittelijan nimeä (jota en tietenkään eää onnistu muistamaan).
In this post, I mentioned how the jeweller Atelier Torbjörn Tillander made a good impression on me – the ring selection was nice, but especially I loved the interiors and general ambiance of the place. The shop had been decorated with such great taste that I ended up inquiring the name of the interior designer (which I can’t remember anymore).

Tän kuvan oon napsassut puhelimeen sinä päivänä, kun saavuttiin Kreikasta Suomeen. Muistan, miten kotiinpaluu harmitti. Otin kuvan itselleni ehkä muistutukseksi siitä, että vaikka Santorini on yksi upeimmista paikoista maan päällä, löytyy kauneutta myös Helsingistä. Kauneus on ehkä rosoisempaa, mutta kyllä sitä täälläkin on.
I took this photo the day we arrived home to Finland from our honeymoon in Greece. I remember how bummed I was about the return. I guess I snapped this picture to remind myself that, even though Santorini is one of the prettiest places on Earth, there’s beauty in Helsinki, too. The beauty just might be a bit more rustic here.

Pientä arjen luksusta puhtaiden pellavalakanoiden ja vaaleanpunaisen pionikimpun muodossa. Sain kimpun M:lta “muuten vaan” -lahjana. Kukkien suhteen mun ikisuosikkeja on valkoiset orkideat ja vaaleanpunaiset pionit, mutta ihan viime aikoina oon innostunut myös kirkkaanpunaisista ja oransseista neilikoista.
Here’s some everyday luxury in the form of clean linen sheets and a bouquet of pink peonies. I received the flowers as a gift from M for no special reason. When it comes to florals, my all-time favourites are white orchids and pink peonies, but just lately I’ve fallen in love with orange and bright red carnations.

Siitä on jo jonkin aikaa, kun kävin ekaa kertaa aamupalalla Kankurinkadun Levainissa yhden mun lääkisystävän kanssa. Tykästyin paikkaan, ja sen jälkeen ollaankin käyty paikassa M:n kanssa useampaan otteeseen. Joskus aamiaisen jälkeen ollaan unohduttu sinne istuskelemaan, M on lukenut kirjaa ja mä oon tehnyt blogijuttuja koneella.
It’s been a while since I stopped by Levain Bakery & Eatery for a breakfast date with one of my med school friends. I really liked the place, so M and I have eaten there quite a few times since then. After the brekkie, it has been so cosy to sit there working on my laptop while M has been reading a book.

iPhonen kuvarullaa selatessa huomasin, että näköjään mun tulee aika usein napsittua kännykkäkuvia kampaajalla ollessa. Kuvakirjaston vallaneet kampaajakuvat johtuu ehkä siitä, että värin vaikutusta odotellessa on välillä vähän tylsää. Tässä kuva mun vanhasta kampaamosta Museokadun Pesulasta.
Going through my iPhone camera roll, I noticed I have a habit of taking photos while having my hair done at the hairdresser’s. It’s probably because I have to find a way to kill time as we’re waiting for the dye to be ready. Here’s a shot taken in the Pesula salon on Museokatu where I used to go to before my hairdresser opened up his own place.

Wild Things on vallan ihana kukkakauppa täällä Helsingissä. Kävin siellä kerran ajatuksenani hakea kotiin yksi sellainen upea kukkakimppu, joita heidän instatilillään näkee. Mulle selvisi, että kukat saapuvat kauppaan tavallisesti loppuviikosta, ja siten kimppuja on ostettavissa torstaista sunnuntaihin. No, mukaan lähti sitten yksi tällainen kuvassanäkyvä mehikasvi.
Wild Things is an adorable flower shop here in Helsinki. One day, I went there to pick up one of those gorgeous bouquets I occasionally see on their Instagram account. The friendly salesperson told me they usually receive their flower delivery at the end of the week which means I can buy a bouquet from Thursday to Sunday. So, I ended up buying one of those cute little plants in the picture (they’re called succulents).
