Honeymoon bliss…
Santorinilla kuvailu on sanalla sanoen helppoa, kun photo opseja löytyy ihan joka nurkan takaa. Tässä siis satunnaisia hetkiä sieltä ja täältä! Oíassa kävellessä täytyi oikein malttaa mielensä, jottei honeymoon menisi pelkäksi kuvailuksi. Käsittääkseni kuherruskuukauden tarkoitus on nauttia tuoreen aviopuolison ihanasta seurasta, eikä pelkästään upeista maisemista ja valokuvista (tietysti se ensimmäisenä mainittu veti pidemmän korren). Santorinilla auringonlaskut olivat huikean kauniita, ja kultaisen hetken aikaan ihan käsittämätön määrä ihmisia alkoi pakkautua Oían kukkulan länsipuolelle auringonlaskun ihastelua varten. Väkeä oli niin paljon, ettei ainakaan mulla tuosta hetkestä nauttiminen oikein onnistunut. Todettiin, että on paljon parempi varata ravintolasta pöytä iltaseitsemäksi, jolloin auringonlaskusta voi nauttia häiriöttä. Suosittelen tätä peliliikettä kaikille Santorinille matkustaville!
It’s so easy to take pretty photos on Santorini as there’s photo ops basically everywhere. So, here’s some random snapshots taken here and there! Walking in Oía, I have to admit I had to control myself so that our honeymoon wasn’t all about taking pictures. Cause if I’ve understood correctly, the main purpose of a honeymoon is to enjoy each other’s company and not only the amazing landscape or good photos (naturally, the former was even more enjoyable than the latter). On Santorini, the sunsets were absolutely beautiful and, during the golden hour, crowds started walking towards the Western point of Oía. In the end, there were so many people there that enjoying the moment became pretty much impossible, for me at least. We then discovered a much better way to take in the beauty of the sunsets. Reserving a table from a restaurant with a sunset view for approximately 7 p.m. I can highly recommend this for everyone heading to Santorini!
