Oon kokeillut mun hääpukua viimeksi toukokuun lopulla, ja eilen oli jännät paikat, kun mun piti testata mahtuuko mekko ylipäänsä enää päälle ja jos, niin miten puku istuu. Pariisissa mekkoon tehtiin korjaukset pientä hienosäätöä myöten sillä lopputuloksella, että pienelläkin painon vaihtelulla voisi olla radikaali vaikutus istuvuuteen. Yksi mun kaasoista tuli (suloisen kolmiviikkoisen vauvansa kanssa) mun apuun ja yhdessä todettiin, että puku istuu edelleen kuin hansikas. Mitään viime hetken korjailuja ei tarvitsisi tehdä. Jes! Mitäs tykkäätte päivän asusta? En varmastikaan ole tänä kesänä ainoa oljesta punottuihin asusteisiin ihastunut, vaan olkihatuista ja -laukuista on tullut kova villitys. Olin ajatellut ostavani punotun laukun kesämarkkinoilta, kunnes rupesin miettimään, että koska sitä on tullut edes käytyä markkinoilla Suomessa ollessa. Ei siis ihme, ettei sitä täydellistä olkilaukkua ole vielä osunut kohdalle. Ihanaa maanantai-iltaa!
The last time I tried my wedding dress on was at the end of May. Yesterday, it was more than exciting to try the gown on and see if it would fit me after all the ice cream this summer. In Paris, the seamstress did the alterations attentively resulting in the fact that even a small variation in weight would change the fit of the dress radically. One of my bridesmaids (and her cute 3-week-old baby) came over for help, and together we found out the dress still fits me perfectly. No need for last minute alterations, yay! How do you like this outfit? I know I’m not the only one who’s into straw accessories this summer. I thought I’d buy a straw bag from the market place this summer, until I realised I can’t even remember the last time I visited any fair here in Finland. So, it’s no wonder I haven’t found the perfect straw bag yet. Have a lovely Monday evening!
